Meadow View – Residential Home
Meadow View is our Residential Home, a purpose-built bungalow fully accessible for Adults with Learning Disabilities.
We support our Residents using a person-centred approach, nurturing and encouraging them to participate in their own care and choices; and supporting them to manage their personal, social and health needs. We promote independence with support, asking Residents to participate in the day-to-day running of their home which could include maintaining their own rooms, laundry, assisting at meal times.
We encourage our Residents to have their own opinion and choice in menu planning, shopping for food and preparing meals for themselves or for the Resident family.
Staff will support Residents to pursue their hobbies and interests within the local community, which could include attending their church or day services.
We promote quality and diversity in all aspects of care, encouraging awareness of different cultures through having different themed events.
Bedrooms
Meadow View is a seven-bedroom bungalow. Our spacious rooms allow ease of access to move around, allowing Residents to navigate without the constraints of tight spaces.

We recognise the importance of personalisation in creating a homely atmosphere and therefore the décor in each bedroom reflects each Residents’ individual style and taste. From the selection of furnishings to the colour of their bedroom door, every detail is tailored, making their private space truly feel their own.

All of our Resident’s bedrooms have ensuite level access shower rooms, personalised to their individual needs.
Kitchen – Dining Room
Both functional and welcoming, our spacious kitchen, has ample counter space for Residents to participate in food preparation and baking activities. It also hosts a large dining table that serves as the heart of the room where both Staff and Residents interact together, creating a warm and communal atmosphere.

Living Area
Our shared living area offers Residents a space for relaxation and social engagement where they can unwind and enjoy leisurely activities.

Our tree of positive comments carries notes of positivity, ranging from expressions of gratitude to a kind, uplifiting message from family, professionals and members of the community. The tree stands as a growing reminder of the supportive and nurturing atmosphere that we cultivate.
Courtyard
Residents can unwind in our beautifully decorated courtyard area, wonderfully created by Sue, a local artist. Our outdoor space has been transformed in to a tranquil retreat featuring, both a sunny and shaded seating area with water feature, amidst an array of vibrant mediterranean colours.

Location
… outskirts of Kingsthorpe, Northampton.
We are based on the outskirts of Kingsthorpe, Northampton. We have good links with our local community and neighbours and regularly support our individuals to access local facilities, including work placements for our Residents.
All our Residents have access to local amenities such as; the local farm shop, Brampton Valley Way Walk, and a nearby pub. Meadow View is within waking distance of Kingsthorpe where our Residents, as part of their personal schedule, can access local supermarkets, banks, the library, coffee shop and a selection of retail outlets.
