The Stables – Day Centre

The Stables is our Day Centre service, established in 2018, providing high quality day-care for adults with a learning disability and associated conditions.  We have two activity hubs, The Barn, originally a stables block and The Croft, our new build, both purpose-built and fully accessible.

Our Clients at the Day Centre are young adults with a variety of complex needs who are either finished their education, or in transition.  We offer a range of activities across both hubs, catering for up to 12 Clients in each, at any one time.

We support our Clients in accessing and participating in the activities and enabling them to have an active choice in how they spend their day.  Our activities are aimed at supporting their wellbeing, building independence, enabling life skills, developing friendships and social skills, as well as, growing personal confidence.

Our aim is to support our Clients to reach their full potential in a supportive, therapeutic, and relaxing environment.

Activities are planned for each day of the week but can be individualised for each Client, enabling everyone the opportunity to participate in a way that is meaningful to them.

We also have two accessible disabled toilets and two wet rooms with a full hoist facility, ensuring that all our Clients, regardless of mobility, can navigate and use the facilities with ease and dignity.
